I create art to spread light, consciousness, and love. Recently diagnosed with colon cancer—now I need to create more than ever.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
Painting on canvas primarily. Art that explores the Self. Telling stories with my artwork that people can find mind-blowing, relatable and healing. Most of my art is stream of consciousness. I like to be a medium/antenna for a world happening beyond this physical plane, and lean into a world beyond; a realm of pure imagination. In doing so, I find that everything and everyone is connected to a web or fabric of being. Art that makes people feel less alone in this world is a key goal of mine.
Where do you find inspiration?I find most inspiration in music. Movies, books and of course other visual artists inspire me too. Nature’s beauty, the outdoors, and simply living my life fuels my creativity. I also find it in spirituality and learning about what all religions are pointing to. Love inspires me. Lastly, my suffering pushes me to find a part of myself being where I am not hurting. The part of me that is beyond this pain and attachment to my body, which seems to be a realm of pure ideas.
What would you do with $25,000?If had $25,000 I’d first pay off my medical bills from battling my colon cancer and Crohn’s disease. The rest I would use to create a powerful portfolio and brand. I would market my art and expand my audience. Once my career as an artist is up and running, I would support and recruit other artists to an art collective or gallery to help get their careers started as well. Money made from auctions so-on would support nonprofits, donations etc. I would keep emptying my cup so that it could filled.
