Art helps me express the thoughts and emotions that I can't physically say. Where words fail me creation aids me.

Portraits, without a doubt. It's just something about capturing a human soul and emotion on a piece of paper or on canvas, whether it be a painting or a graphite drawing. The medium doesn't matter, it's the ability to capture a person's likeness and life. It's all about the eyes. I had an art teacher back in I want to say middle school it was who told the class that if the eyes looked off in any way, then the whole portrait was off. I can spend hours on eyes alone and not get bored.
Where do you find inspiration? Most of the portraits I do or create range from people I admire to self portraits. The former is pretty self explanatory: I tend to stick to celebrities (favorite musical artists, actors/actresses). The latter is where inspiration is sporadic. I'll either use my own likeness when trying to give song lyrics a visual personification. So, I guess in turn music plays a big part in my inspiration.
What would you do with $25,000?There's no way to answer this without it sounding selfish. Whether it be paying off student loans, getting a head start on tackling personal debts, saving for emergencies. A portion would go back to my parents, no question about it. My mom is an artist in her own right, while I have surpassed her greatly I still owe my love for art to her. She encouraged my study in the arts back when I was in college. My parents have helped me in many ways and granting them a portion would be my "Thank you".
