Drawing is something I’ve done since childhood, but now I’m immersing myself in oil painting, refining drawing skills and expression.

I have several favorites. I love the beauty and ease of oil paint, from portraits to nature. Details in my art make me happy, so fine liner brushes and ink satisfy that. I enjoy creating scenes using graphite pencil, as the values achievable are endless.
Where do you find inspiration?Inspiration is everywhere. My garden provides beautiful flowers and a myriad of leaf types. A day at the beach will provide waves, seascapes, birds and old buildings. The Bible has many stories I try and capture. Some days I sit with a micron pen, zone out and create mandalas and other line drawings. Ideas are endless!
What would you do with $25,000?I have absolutely no idea. Put it in savings? Retire? Move closer to my grandchildren? Simply stare at it and gasp? That’s a question best left for dreams and imagination.
