I love creating Art, because it allows me to mentally escape the daily hardships that we may face in today's society. Art is my therapy!
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
Abstract Line Art is my favorite to create. My form of Line Art is not seen often, yet when seen - it attracts the eyes and allows the mind to calmly wander, as well as wonder the question - why lines?
Where do you find inspiration?During my childhood I was afraid of the water (any body of water larger than a glass of water - I was afraid of it). As I've grown older, I turned my fears into appreciation and inspiration. Water is the most free form or body on Earth - it calms me and provides serenity. It flows however it so desires. With my line art, I allow my lines to flow freely and fluid like water, so when seen, it creates a calmness or zen feeling amongst the viewer.
What would you do with $25,000?If I am blessed to receive the $25,000, I would accomplish several goals with it. Most importantly, invest in an art program for children/youth/young adults. Many art programs have been removed from schools, community centers, etc across the nation, and students no longer have a creative outlet to express themselves. Art has been my saving grace and passion since I was 8/9 years old, and I would love the opportunity to create a space for them to experience the same creative freedom I did.
