Making art is a sacrament, an act of creation emulating the creator. It is simultaneously an act of preservation and a way to process.

I’m a mixed media artist influenced by Marshall McLuhan’s ideas about medium and message. My work draws on postmodern principles like juxtaposition, appropriation, and recontextualization. I’m most engaged when concept and material intersect—working across collage, acrylic, oil, gouache, LEGO, and plaster.
Where do you find inspiration?Everything I make comes from paying attention to what’s actually in front of me — a receipt, a nail clipping, a six-word question someone asked me once. I’m not looking for inspiration. I’m looking at the Tuesday. The Tuesday is always enough. The important thing is already there. You just have to stop looking away from it.
What would you do with $25,000?With $25,000 I would put a down payment on my studio which I am currently renting from a friend of mine.
