I sculpt to bring to three-dimensional reality the images that I imagine in my daydreams and mental ramblings.

Traditional, hand sculpted and hand painted figural sculpture.
Where do you find inspiration?I’m inspired by many things, from my natural surroundings, to the work of other creators—not just traditional visual artists, but writers, musicians, singers, dancers, actors etc. I’m drawn to the tension between the inner persona and the identity we project to the world for fear of being judged. As artists, the simple act of creating offers the greatest inspiration in and of itself, because it is the greatest opportunity to express the authentic self.
What would you do with $25,000?I’d work on a large-scale bronze sculpture I’ve designed to encourage people to sit upon it. This piece would offer a place to think, dream, and remember that whatever we achieve or suffer through, we’re never alone: We’re shaped by a multitude of people, and have a unique place in an interconnected world. My longterm vision is to see versions of this installation placed in appropriate locations throughout the country, each tailored to their unique local community.
