I create art to add something beautiful to my chaos. It gives my son something to be proud to say his Mom
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
My favorite type of art I love to create is mixing watercolor with ink, acrylic paints or oil pastels, and creating I enjoy creating beautifully dark almost romantic pieces, that make you feel every emotion the composition is portraying and it'll make you feel emotions that are unexpected. Some of my pieces I create using vibrant colors to make an abstract surreal composition, where emotions and uncertainty are lost to the viewer, but still you try to make sense of the chaos I've created.
Where do you find inspiration? My life, my tragedies, my struggles, the losses I've experienced, from my past experiences, and regrets. I have been homeless, been to prison, lost everyone close to me, the tragedies I've endured, my constant struggles I face everyday, are my inspiration. When most would probably not even try anymore and make their incessant pain and agony cease. So it goes.
What would you do with $25,000?I would live the life I always imagined a professional artist lived. I would finally be able to consider myself a professional artist, I can be a very cynical and I am the biggest pessimist, my negativity is shown in my art more than Id like to admit. With my unfortunate tragic past, with my many mistakes, this will opportunity will help me build up my confidence in myself, in my artwork, and help further my art career. This will in turn help me become stable for my son and I to grow from.
