What is your favorite type of art to create?

Originally, it was abstract. I still love it, but couldn't find my footing. I took a long break from painting until I discovered I could create 'Whimsical Art' and I wasn't too bad at it. This type of art is happy, joyful, makes people laugh. I realized after several practice paintings, that this makes me happier than abstract did. Abstract was freeing for me at the time, and I'm grateful for that. But this makes myself as well as others smile. That's all that matters with creativity and art.

Where do you find inspiration?

I've lived in rural Kentucky my entire life, most of my youth on a farm. I often took this for granted as a child. So as an adult, I have begun to understand the simplicity of that life. I didnt realize as a child how complicated the world really was. Even tho I don't live on a farm, my family still does and there are farms all around, I am still emersed in that culture. So ultimately, the simplicity of the southern life and making people smile for a moment is what gives me inspiration.

What would you do with $25,000?

I thought about it, and what I came up with is simple. Nothing crazy or fancy and probably won't catch anyone's attention, but, a down payment on a house. That's it. We're currently pretty crowded in our home, and this past year my mother in law has begun needing things to help her with every day things, but with no extra room we can't. My husband's had 3 surgeries this year and may not be able to work anymore. My illness keeps me from working as well. This money would help us reach our goal.
