I love tattooing because it turns art into living stories—designs that move with people and become part of who they are.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
Raised on Chicano gangster art and lettering, my roots shaped everything I create. What started on paper evolved into tattooing, where black and grey storytelling meets bold expression. While I work across styles, Chicano remains my foundation—raw, cultural, and timeless. My second lane, new school traditional, brings solid color and heavy lines, creating a balance between heritage and modern edge that defines my signature.
Where do you find inspiration?Raised between Piedras Negras Mx and Houston Texas, my inspiration comes from the barrios that shaped me—walls filled with stories, bold lettering, and raw street expression. From viclas, lowriders to freestyle arte, I grew up surrounded by living art. Now, as the owner of two thriving studios, I stay rooted in that culture, creating work that reflects identity, heritage, and real-life experience—I don’t just create art, I am it.
What would you do with $25,000?I’m currently in the process of opening my third location in Green Bay for Alpha Red Tattoo and Barber Studios. While I’m excited, I’m also realistic about the challenges that come with building and expanding a business—I’ve lived through that process before. If awarded the $25K, I would directly invest it into completing and upgrading this third studio, focusing on comfort, atmosphere, and quality for every client who walks through our doors and believes in the Alpha Red vision.
