I am not sure that I have a favorite. When an idea or obsession gets into my head, it's happening whether I'm ready for it or not. My drive and excitement for creating comes from a deep need for seeing the ideas through. That in and of itself is my favorite!
Where do you find inspiration?Perspective. And all that comes with it. People and their stories, backgrounds, and overall human experiences have always been a big motivation for my work. The way in which each of us perceives is based on so many different factors. I find myself eager to explore these, especially the ones that are far from my own. Each experience is completely unique, and I find myself attempting to capture that essence.
What would you do with $25,000?As a passionate educator, I would certainly dedicate a portion to enriching my classroom. I would like to provide my students the ability to not just foster creativity, but to learn critical thinking through the artistic process. Having the funds for necessary materials makes the learning journey far more engaging and more likely to stick. I would also use a portion for a future home. One in which will allow my art and career to continue to grow.
