Oil paintings that move the viewer’s soul, inviting them into the world of the painting and enabling them to experience Beauty - whether it’s an empty landscape, or a landscape with a figure - all over again. I love to play will illuminated objects in low light, but I also love the array in a sunrise. There’s something in the compliment of values, colors, and temperatures that sing the right songs for me.
Where do you find inspiration?Early morning light. Rainy days. Heavy fog is something my heart melts for. But watching my family interact with nature is the most sublime experience.
What would you do with $25,000?I would flesh out my studio space (furniture, wall paint, better lighting), pick up some large-scale panels for epic scenery paintings, pick up some Plein air gear for my flock, and take my family to the national parks for more adventures together. I can’t wait to paint them in the wilds!
