What is your favorite type of art to create?

I specialize in illusionary kinetic art that merges high-fidelity digital fabrication with immersive light design. Utilizing 3D printing and precision laser cutting, I create interactive installations that challenge human perception. My work often focuses on how light and geometry interact to create a sense of presence and wonder, such as the Optical Recalibration Wheel. I love building pieces that aren't just viewed, but experienced through touch, motion, and visual transformation.

Where do you find inspiration?

My inspiration is rooted in cymatics—the visual representation of sound—and the mathematical patterns of the natural world. I am deeply moved by the collaborative spirit of the festival and maker communities, where art acts as a catalyst for human connection. I aim to translate intangible vibrations into physical forms that resonate with people on a sensory level. Seeing a community engage with a physical installation in a shared space is what drives my creative process and design.

What would you do with $25,000?

I would establish a permanent venue in Philadelphia dedicated to "Bass Yoga" and immersive wellness. This grant would fund the integration of haptic feedback technology and custom kinetic lighting to create a transformative sensory environment. The goal is to move beyond temporary installations and create a consistent, tech-forward sanctuary where sound, art, and wellness intersect. This space would serve as a headquarters for Spirit Lab and a hub for community healing through art.
