I love creating art because it lets me tell stories of transformation, inspired by my roots and my journey as a immigrant.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
My favorite type of art to create is large-scale murals and big paintings that blend symbolism, nature, personal narratives, and cultural elements, making a lasting impact on the community.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration on my own immigrant history, my Colombian roots, the emotional journeys of people I meet, the stories my immigrant friends share, my travels and hikes around nature, my lived experiences, and how I can learn from nature’s resilience.
What would you do with $25,000?I would use the $25,000 to cover three months of expenses, invest in my website and social media, and rent a warehouse space for at least the first three months to work on large-scale canvases. During that time, I would fully dedicate myself to launching a collection of large-scale paintings.
