Connect What is your favorite type of art to create?

I can't help but draw and paint. Every line I draw, every dot I place, every brushstroke is an act of gratitude to the cultures that build the places I visit and to the people who persevere every day. I must tell their stories through my brushes and pens, capturing the invisible moments that no one ever shares. Through meditative dots & ink, the vibrancy of watercolor pencils, and the rich, blended realism of oils, I give every story I tell its own color and voice.

Where do you find inspiration?

Inspiration surrounds me. I find it everywhere I go, from the park in front of my home to the people, the buildings, the colors, the food, the smells, and the cultures I encounter when I travel. I want to paint and draw it all, every mountain, every flower, every old building, every door, every beach, and more. The world around me awakens my imagination even before I step out the door. It is as if God taps me on the shoulder and whispers, "Look closer! There is more here than you think."

What would you do with $25,000?

The first fifteen percent goes immediately to the charities I support in the United States and Colombia, because generosity that waits until later never arrives. The rest will fuel the art business I am building: gallery placements across the US and South America, tools and travel to somewhere new to find new stories, and a platform that turns one artist's vision into a movement. As the business grows, so does my ability to give. This prize would not just change my life, it would multiply!
