As a cancer survivor, creating art connects me to the world. Polymer clay on canvas lets color, texture, and curiosity bring me to life.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
My favorite type of art to make is mixed media using polymer clay on canvas. I love the tactile experience of shaping the clay with my hands and watching it transform into something beautiful, textured, and full of life.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration in my own backyard. Living in Oceanside, I’m surrounded by flowers blooming throughout the year. Growing a flower and watching it unfold feels very similar to the creative process—both require patience, care, and trust in transformation.
What would you do with $25,000?With $25,000, I would use it to secure a creative art studio—a place where I can make art while also inviting others to experience the joy of creating. It would become a space to teach, inspire, and build community through hands-on art experiences, allowing me to share the magic of making art with others.
