My love of beautiful glass & construction of the art is evident in the care taken in my work. Artistry & craftsmanship = lovely art.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
Stained glass is my favorite medium, particularly when I step outside traditional designs. I’m drawn to creating pieces that experiment with color and structure, transforming a classic art form into something more modern and personal.
Where do you find inspiration? All around me. I draw a lot of inspiration from artists who paint; their use of colors helps me visualize what my stained glass piece may look like. Also, learning how others construct their own stained glass art pieces has influenced how I construct my work, especially nontraditional pieces.
What would you do with $25,000?Expand my current studio space, which has become a significant barrier to my growth as a stained glass artist. I currently work out of a small shed, a space that limits both the scale & complexity of my work. An expansion would allow me to safely & effectively create larger, more ambitious pieces, increasing both my creative capacity & production potential. Invest in professional development. Specialized classes would strengthen my technical skills, introduce new methods & elevate my work.
