My preferred medium is oil on canvas. A common theme in all my works is drawing your eye to the vanishing point. I want your eyes to take a journey down roads, stairs, and through landscapes. I like creating many objects or structures to keep your eyes intrigued while I take you on a journey in my painting.
Where do you find inspiration?My inspiration comes from travel, pictures, people, experiences, structures, landscapes. Overall my inspiration comes from art that draws my eye, it takes me on a journey in the picture. I can wake up each morning and find something beautiful and exciting in the piece. It takes me on a journey within the small boundaries of that picture.
What would you do with $25,000?I would use the money to explore new places and get new inspirations. I would also continue going to my local schools, bring supplies, and to help young artists to find their creative path in art and life. It brings me joy to teach art to young minds and to give them a way to express themselves in a calm and satisfying manner which will help bring peace to their lives and communities.
