I paint to preserve what time would otherwise soften. I capture memories—both my own and those entrusted to me.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
I enjoy creating a diverse range of work, often exploring scenery, animals, and florals, while also drawing inspiration from the rhythms of the ocean and overlooked details around us. Working primarily in watercolor, ink, and acrylic, I focus on capturing energy and subtlety—what is immediately seen and what is often missed. What matters most in my work is connection. I strive to create pieces that bring joy and offer a sense of escape, while guiding viewers back to a personal place or memory.
Where do you find inspiration? My inspiration comes from immersion and observation. I gather references directly from nature, studying light, texture, and subtle detail, while also engaging with other artists through exhibitions and continued exploration. Painting for me is both an escape and an entry point—an opportunity to hold onto moments while redefining what is worth noticing
What would you do with $25,000?If awarded this opportunity, I would invest in expanding both the foundation and reach of my work. A dedicated studio space outside my home to grow in scale, focus, and consistency. Invest in professional display units to strengthen how my work presented in exhibitions, along with a printer and scanner to create and share reproductions. Develop a professional website and build a stronger social media presence. Also, a piece of it to support community art initiatives: centered on healing.
