I love to create art, because it's the only way to bring them to our world. That's the way to make my words, my feelings visible and share.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
My favorite type of art to create is sculpture. I like to use metal as a material and arc welding as a technique. Creating metal figures is letting me create movement and adding texture on it by melted wire using the arc welding method. Metal is connecting to the past to present and will stay in future. My art pieces carry their own stories to the people. They turns a member of the community such as human when I make them visible. They communicate and transform to a part of the society.
Where do you find inspiration?I found my inspiration in the history of sculpture. From great sculptors such as Auguste Rodin, Henry Moore, David Smith, Julio Gonzalez, Kuzgun Acar, Ilhan Koman, and Alberto Giacometti. Also from life experiences belong to me and others. Dancers and musicians also inspire me alot.
What would you do with $25,000?I'm an artist/sculptor and art teacher working in a special (talented visual art) program at my school system. I'm planing to use that money to create my dream workshop and buy some art supplies/materials for my classroom to make my talented students happy also.
