Slightly surreal, fantastical situations where creatures and characters are discovering things about their worlds. I like mixing the creepy and dark with curiosity, wonder, and innocence. My favorite pieces are the ones that inspire a variety of interpretations.
Where do you find inspiration?Mythology, fairy tales, M. C. Escher, Salvador Dali, trees, moss, robots, mushrooms, undersea creatures, other fantasy art, other artists, horror-esque (but I don’t enjoy horror stuff really), and life in general.
What would you do with $25,000?Travel for the family. Invest in getting the business side of my art moving forward. A drafting desk perhaps. A nice date with my wife, nice editions of books for the kids, some catnip for my cat.
