Where do you find inspiration?"My inspiration is the sound of a Sunday morning hymn layered over a Saturday night groove. It's the laughter, the struggle, the resilience of Black life. Music gives my hand its language. Black life gives my art its purpose."
What would you do with $25,000?With $25K, I would print and distribute 10,000 copies of The Number 1's History Activity Coloring Book to Philadelphia school kids. As The Visual Alchemist, I turn paper into memory—giving Black children art that looks like them, and history that honors them, so Black children can see themselves celebrated, not erased.
