I create art to reset and reconnect beyond work. It’s a therapeutic space to express myself, relieve stress, and stay balanced.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
My favorite type of art to create is life drawing and studies of the human body. I very much enjoy capturing the anatomy of the body, it's sense of movement, and most especially the emotions and perhaps vulnerability that the model is feeling in his or her pose and with that i try to improve my skills with each artwork.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration from photographers capturing model poses in natural environment (i.e.) forest, professional life drawing models in various environments and around the world who i have collaborated with to execute my life drawings. I also am inspired by everyday life that gives me ideas and incorporate them into my drawings.
What would you do with $25,000?I have never really traveled to other countries to explore aged art as i have been working most of my life. I have been putting that on hold and wish that someday i can do it. But this prized amount may help me in achieving that wish. I can also simply acquire more colored pencils and materials, take some time off from work in order to study and create artwork.
