I create because art is woven in the fiber of my being, it’s the way I process my day, it is therapy, excitement, struggle and perseverance

My favorite art ti create is about nature-human connection and animals. I have a deep connection to nature as being healing, a space for peace and quiet but also it is mighty and resilient. I love painting figurative work surrounded by flora and fauna and animals because I believe we lol carry the strength and courage of a tiger, the growth and risk taking behavior of a snake, the beauty and resilience of a hummingbird if we only embrace our inner wild and stay true to our self!
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration every day in my garden where I raise Monarch butterflies and observe there entire metamorphosis, where I watch plants grow from seed and insects and birds. I find inspiration when I visit forests, seascapes and the desert on hikes and roadtrips. I find inspiration in other artists and galleries. I love to create collages of all my inspirations and while I paint I get to truly immerse myself into a state of calm and peace and nothing else around me matters.
What would you do with $25,000?$25,000 would alleviate my monthly expenses and offer me the time to think on a new theme, cook up new ideas and create a new body of artwork without pressure. I could truly solely focus on creating. Life in San Diego is expensive and working as a full time artists can be a struggle financially. As the financial pressure builds, creative block grows. $25,000 would offer me time open up my mind for new concepts and create work for a solo show in 2027, which I’m currently scouting locations for!
