Receive Text UpdatesI’m primarily an oil painter. My work is largely figurative and plays with different aspects of abstraction, cubism and surrealism.
Where do you find inspiration?I am sort of a magpie, in that I observe things and then I just follow my instincts and intuition. There’s a lot of listening involved in what I do with regards to the inner monologue I hear while I create. I just follow what I hear and feel, then I inevitably wind up painting something where I revealed part of my psyche to myself. Most of my work is a form of healing.
What would you do with $25,000?I would invest the money back into my practice. I’ve spent the last nine years, teaching myself all the ways I express what materials I love what surfaces work best for me and all the different variations. I have with regards to my expression. I recently launched my website and I’m selling prints online all of this is after 30 years of working in entertainment and fashion as a hairstylist this money would allow me to double down on being an artist so that I can focus on creating my next series.
