Spectrumism (coined term in 1999) As a description of the emergence of a 4th standard color theory. Relaunching Spectrumism in 2026
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
My favorite works of my own Artwork are the transitional & breakthrough pieces that mark a new direction. Coined the term Spectrumism in 1999 as related to a 4th standard color theory. Developed “just paint paintings” in 2000. Made solely out of paint they stick to any non-porous surface. If preserved correctly they can hold their “stickiness” indefinitely. 2001 coined the term Oddmentism. A purely abstract form of painting (left over art) collected by patrons. 1,000 pieces of Artwork created.
Where do you find inspiration?Everywhere. I find myself most intrigued and inspired by women, relationships, and more recently by storytelling through complex compositions that allow for layers to be addressed and explored. Some of my favorite works that I’ve done to date are the portraits of friends, Oddmentism manifesto #17, “The leaning town of Pisa” (first painting in Spectrumism style), yet I feel that my best work is still yet to be done. What would you do with $25,000?Reinvest the resources back into the work to create a new body of works. Portraits, cityscapes, illustrations. Superscale pieces with museums in mind. I would also afford myself the opportunity to put out a graphic novel. Majority of the resources would go straight into production by covering the cost of raw materials. Studio rent for six months. A truck. Launch an App. Form 3 separate LLCs for different small businesss. Relaunch, reinvigorate my career.
