Art is the only way for me to speak. Without it I feel voiceless, mute. Through art, I can show you better than I can tell you.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
I'm a painter, primarily acrylic. I like to think of my work as pop-surrealism, but honestly I do whatever sends of the message. I like making art that adds to the philosophical zeitgeist. From politics and socioeconomics, all the way to existentialism. A very rarely create art where it's only purpose is to be beautiful. The goal is always to wrestle the universe into a more fathomable form. I seek to make humanity translucent, where the beautiful surface meets the ugly depths.
Where do you find inspiration?Weird don't I find inspiration? Life, death, and everything in between. Struggle currently, all the things that Humanity has to face. The news, the wars, the games. Love and hatred. My own shortcomings, and that of those around me.
What would you do with $25,000?First, a local gallery in my city just opened up, grassroots, I would like to get their gallery space fully equipped. Then I would get my own space. I've been home hopping, a space I could call my own would work wonders. I would also restock on all my supplies. I got an exhibition coming up in that gallery I spoke about, after that I won't have any canvas left and very little paint. Also help my grandparents with their medical debt. A few thousand won't do it, but it'll soften things for a bit.
