Charlie Azrael

I'm not alive when I am not making art, it's all I have. I hope one day to be able to commit fully to art rather than my job at the hospital

What is your favorite type of art to create?

Music. Always music. It sets the mind on fire and brings color to the air around you. David Bowie, NIN, Tool, and of course the late Jeff Beck, who could make the strat scream like nobody before or since. And that's to say nothing of traditional folk music's from around the world (especially that of Ireland and the American Blues).

Where do you find inspiration?

Everywhere. In a strangers kind words, in broken tiles in the floor, in my frustration when my boss doesn't see things my way. Take any kind of inspiration you can find, you never know what road it will lead you down.

What would you do with $25,000?

I would first pay back a debt I owe to my father. Afterwards, I would invest the money carefully, setting eleven grand in an account and some assets. Finally, the remaining money would be invested into artworks with a higher cost of entry. I aspire to direct and star in motion pictures one day, including adapting the works of Edgar Allen Poe.
