My artist name is Salem Rose. I create art because it is therapy for me for when I have dealt with trauma and stress.

I love working with oil paints the most. I can work with acrylics, but I prefer the versitility of the oil paints. I feel I have more control with the paint. My artist name is Salem Rose. Everyone who knows me calls me Salem. I also love mixed media, I enjoy trying new things and new mediums, because it encourages me in other areas of my life to believe in myself.
Where do you find inspiration? When I paint, I am taken to a totally different spiritual place, and I am projected into another time and space and then I paint what I see. I have been through a lot of trauma and stressful times in my life, from being homeless, to dealing with health issues, to learning that I am autistic on top of having ADHD. I don't feel like it's always a curse to have racing thoughts. Sometimes my best work comes from having a mind that goes 90 to nothing.
What would you do with $25,000?I would give some to my family, some to my cousin and best friend, and probably pay off some of my student loans from college. I would like to use some of the money for art supplies for my local art studio, myself and my best friend.
