I get lost in my art, so much so that I allow the artwork and I to become one. To paint is to breathe. It’s everything.

I have become obsessed with creating watercolor paintings. In fact, I am currently working on my largest piece yet at the moment, and it is inspired by a book that I wrote. The book is filled with grief and hope and all of the emotions that blend together during our living experience and show us what it means to be human, what it means to survive loss, to dance in the blissful feeling of love, to play in the friendships the world has to offer. I want to recreate it all in this next painting.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration from seeing others that allow themselves to be consumed by their own creativity; the ones that paint unapologetically, that write with their soul, that sing with their heart, and engineer with their minds. I also first learned to paint through inspiration of one of my favorite artists. He painted his wife through all of her years. It is both romantic, and intriguing, and his paintings are phenomenal to study.
What would you do with $25,000?I would give back to the world through creativity, in hopes to ignite a new generation of filmmakers, painters, singers, and writers. I would film my own tv shows showcasing characters with these unique talents and intertwine them within the stories that I create. I have been writing tv shows and books since I was 6 years old. I once snuck my work into a contest at 10 years old and won an award that I couldn’t accept because I was a child. I have so much to give. You would be the reason I could.
