What is your favorite type of art to create?

Arte Povera materials such as tar, to finite marble into sculptures of any imaginable size. I create art that leads the viewer to see beyond the missing pieces, fragments and passage of time within their experiences. All mediums offer their own beauty. The hardness of marble/metal, the light of neon, the mystery of a material you thought was ordinary, the simplicity of a line on paper. My favorite type of that affects the viewer. It is my form of speaking.

Where do you find inspiration?

It can come out of the blue. But once you are inspired, it takes on a life of its own. Every decision is almost made involuntarily. Highly focused almost trance like involvement. Creating comes from the discipline at hand. If the need is to be a public piece that can withstand the elements, or a delicate piece for its environment. Art through the ages has prepared the next chapter of art.

What would you do with $25,000?

After giving back a portion to Elysium, I would replace my compressor, diamond bits, blades, equipment, … materials I lost in the hurricanes.
