Art is my way of expressing my emotions and healthily coping with my depression, anxiety, and grief.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
My favorite type of art is 2D visual art, typically using colored pencil and sometimes marker.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration in my own emotions and experiences. Grief and my mental health struggles are typical subjects of my artwork that help me better understand myself. After loosing my dad to an overdose at 13 years old and living with depression and self harming tendencies for so long, art has become the biggest way for me to express all of the pain I feel.
What would you do with $25,000?Within high school, I have found so much inspiration to become an art teacher. I’ve been impacted by art and hope to make other kids feel as if they have an outlet for their creativity. With $25,000, I would be able to jumpstart my life aiming towards that career, mainly my tuition. $25,000 would help me so greatly begin to impact others through art the way I have been changed because of it.
