I never gave up that childlike passion for creating. Art opens a door in my mind that allows me to explore the joy of creating.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
I love creating work that explores a relationship of an individual with a partner, the world or themselves. Bringing the psychological experience into the world I am creating. I also find joy in creating interior spaces or landscapes and the energy that exists within that realm.
Where do you find inspiration?I can be inspired by dramas I imagine based on figures drawn from life or photos. Also basic life experiences. How to recreate an emotion into what otherwise is just fabric and paint . To celebrate the wonder of both nature and others. Life is overflowing with inspiration. A person you meet, a flower in a grocery store or a home you can’t help but imagine yourself in. The complex emotions of life and the beauty that exists all around us, these are my inspiration.
What would you do with $25,000?Buy more art supplies and create more work. I would also donate a portion for supplies for the kids of Covenant House. Art is a great therapeutic tool. People may not be able to verbalize what they are trying to work through, but it is freeing to have permission to create.
