Where do you find inspiration?I used to go searching for inspiration, but now I find that art finds me. It flows from the rhythm of my daily life: the music I hear, the news I process, and the quiet moments in nature. As an immigrant and a mother, my perspective is a filter—every book I read or headline I see is converted into a visual thought. I no longer look for ideas; I simply live, observe, and translate the world’s many directions into my own creative language.
What would you do with $25,000?As an immigrant and a mother, my art is the bridge between my heritage and my children’s future. Currently, my "studio" is tucked into the corners of my home, limiting the scale of the stories I can tell. Winning $25,000 would allow me to secure a dedicated workspace and high-quality materials to move beyond small sketches into large-scale, immersive works. This support isn't just for supplies; it’s an investment in the visibility of political and maternal narratives that deserve to be seen.
