I create in series; across discipline & medium. My work addresses complex concepts in perception, memory & general humanity. Each piece I make is intended to grasp the viewer, get them to "think differently". The goal is to stun if only momentarily, conjure a smile, transmute understanding, inspire viewers to question for themselves "what is the point, what is the purpose: of this thing, life, of this thing, art." My technique setting parameters allows discovery of the art as it emerges itself.

I find inspiration everywhere. I hear bird song & think of flying, then the wind & currents, ponder the wars & inequities of the world, dream about peace, utopia, then paint until the jars run dry. I feel a sorrow then collage my face onto photos of a "good time". Regardless of series, it's deeply rooted in emotion, transmutation & expanded consciousness. I do not think about "what to paint"; I think/feel/sense about what sentiments "the world" needs at any given time and act accordingly.

With the $25,000 I will bring my art to more people through physical experience. Our visual & interactive experience of the world is often through a digital experience these days, taken in through screens & without a sense of human "public" interaction. I will travel to share my puppetry, my music, my 3D paintings in person, where the people can be together in sensory. Art is costly to produce & more costly to travel with. This $25,000 would help me to broaden visibility & interact in real time.
