I am a portrait artist! I love to capture people with an emphasis on light and shadow. I aim to paint photos that are things you’d find in your camera roll.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration in photo references with a strong shadow or flash lighting. I like subject matter that is relatable yet still makes you wonder, “what’s the story here?”
What would you do with $25,000?I would use it to pay debts. My father’s medical debt from cancer, my student loans… and hopefully have some left over to stock studio supplies! I know my chances to win this competition are small, but I hope to see this go to another small artist or creative who needs it. I am honored to have the opportunity to even move forward in this!
