Chris Efstratis

It allows me to reach some kind of zen and all my thoughts and cares evaporate. Colors project feelings, shape takes up space in the art.

What is your favorite type of art to create?

The art I enjoy creating is large whimsical ceramic sculptures of abstract heads. My artwork begins on the pottery wheel typically and then wheel throne forms are altered, and hand sculpted into large colorful busts with character.

Where do you find inspiration?

Traveling, music, relationships, food, comedy, color, theater, expression and other artwork I see are the foundations of my work. Like life, it is the action I seek, fired into stone.

What would you do with $25,000?

I would probably invest in a new van to help get me to art shows.
