I do art because it takes my mind away from my inner anxiety, calming my soul.

I love working with soft pastels. They are messy but newer products like Pastelbord and UArt sanded paper help. I have used oils, oil pastels, watercolor and even needlework to create. I started a "heart" series. I use my own photographs for inspiration. i.e. a heart-shaped cactus, rock or frozen ice sculptures. Hearts seemed to appear, once I started looking.
Where do you find inspiration?I find most of my inspiration from hearts, flowers and landscapes. For a few years, I was asked to do paintings of peoples homes and pets. It meant so much to me that I was able to gift my son a painting of the pups he cherished.
What would you do with $25,000?A new venue opened near me called, the Creative Jam. A woman felt a need for people to come together to create after we were all stuck in our homes due to COVID. I would donate an amount to her non-profit because she helped me to emerge from my depression and start doing what I love to do. ie, Journaling, creating stained glass and even doing diamond dot art kits. Art heals. I would also love to take some classes for more confidence.
