I create art to be present and happy, using vivid colors to bring life, emotion, and beauty to my characters.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
I focus on portrait and figurative work centered on the human face and its emotional depth. I’m drawn to how a single expression can hold complex stories. I often work in mix media, building layers different materials and finishing with oils to bring unity and depth. I also combine faces with elements like flowers or animals to explore identity, emotion, and connection.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration by studying other artists to understand what drives them, which helps me refine my own voice. I’m also inspired by animals in their natural habitat and by the power of color to express emotion. Art history challenges me to pursue depth, presence, and a higher level of technical and emotional mastery in my work.
What would you do with $25,000?I would invest it in becoming a better artist through direct experience, traveling to places where art has been shaped by history and culture. I want to study classical techniques in Italy, observe light and color in the Netherlands, and engage with contemporary art in cities like Berlin and New York. I would take classes there, learn from masters, and immerse myself fully. Those experiences would deeply transform my work and the artist I’m becoming.
