I create art to preserve culture through dance. Art costs less than electricity and gives more light.

Dance traditional fBeing a creator of Colombian and Latin American folkloric rhythms and choreographies in Toronto is much more than dancing: it is becoming a guardian of our roots and an ambassador of our history. πβ¨ Every drumbeat, every step, and every movement carries the memory of our ancestors, the joy of our people, and the identity of millions of Latin Americans who live far from their homeland, yet carry it in their hearts. β€οΈπ₯π
Where do you find inspiration? The inspiration behind creating these dance works is born from the immense natural and human richness of Colombia and all of Latin America. πΏπβ¨ It rises from its mountains, jungles, rivers, and seas; from the colors of its flowers, the songs of its birds, and the vibrant rhythm that lives in every corner of our land. Colombia’s biodiversity inspires movements full of strength, freedom, and beauty, where every step reflects the energy of living nature. π¦πΊπ
What would you do with $25,000?With an investment of $25,000 dollars, we would open opportunities for people in Toronto and surrounding areas who currently do not have easy access to dance, creating inclusive spaces where children, youth, and adults can discover their talent, build confidence, and be inspired through culture and the arts. πβ¨ These resources would help cover the rental of a rehearsal studio, providing a safe and professional space where the community can learn, create, and grow through dance.
