It is a passion, a driving force in my life. I create art with my students all day but must create my own when I am home.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
I work in 2D combining drawing and painting in a variety of mediums. I work in a circular format on paper or wood panel. I use a lot of symbolism surrounding a central figure or face.
Where do you find inspiration? My inspiration comes from my life experiences and artists who have inspired me. Artists like Rossetti and Lichtenstein. I have lived with the poor and the rich… from the Shores of Long Island, to the squares of Savannah, to Palos Verdes to the inner city of Rochester, NY. Each place gave me new perspective and new things to explore with my art.
What would you do with $25,000?I would use the money to continue making my art. I would like to travel to experience more so that I can create more.
