When I make a piece, it's like a story from my soul and imagination is making it's way onto my canvas.

I love to create art that expresses the beauty of people, fashion, daily life, birds, and mythology. I like to incorporate a stylish fantasy edge to each of my pieces, to portray that there is magic in the mundane. When I first started drawing, I mostly drew characters who were kind, strong, and loved to express themselves through styling their outfits from books and cartoons I liked. Those roots of my art journey give me ideas every day to put my meraki (my soul) into my characters and pieces.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration from nature, the people I see and know, my personal experiences, patterns I find, and the content I watch, read, and listen to.
What would you do with $25,000?I would save some of it to get my MFA in Interdisciplinary Art (illustration and storytelling emphsis) in the future, and to help me save up for a car.
