I’ve dreamt and had visions most of my life. Art gives my mind a place to go a place to bring to heal and speak for those who cannot.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
I used to do murals when I was young, but I don’t anymore. I use acrylics and I do more abstract though I do like painting birds and whatever happens in my dreams. I started using watercolors recently though I have not gone on any large scale other than with acrylics.
Where do you find inspiration? Most of my inspiration comes from helping and serving people. I was a missionary for a lot of years then I became a psychotherapist helping people who are hurting. Most of my inspiration comes from those who don’t have a voice, who’ve been through trauma or those who have come out of trauma and don’t know how to express their words. I would say reciprocity is my inspiration.
What would you do with $25,000?Start businesses for kids that “inspire the next generation of dreamers by bridging the beauty of nature with the science of flight and healing of art. Through hands-on gardening and engineering, we empower children to cultivate beauty, build their future, and believe that anything is possible with hard work and a vision."
