When I’m creating art, I feel connected with my spirit. I feel at peace and at the same time energized with unlimited inspiration.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
Of the many different types of art, my current favorite is painting. I enjoy tuning into my spirit and soul and choosing colors and elements based on my intuition and guidance. I enjoy different textures and unexpected elements, and most of all becoming part of the art. In many of my paintings you will see distinct figures that seem to reveal themselves, this is not by accident nor by my coaxing. Painting for me is very much a dance with the mystical and unseen aspects of the world.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration in my life, in nature, in music, in the people I love and in the unexpressed energies that float around us. When I am in tune, I feel at peace and one with the universe and the art that flows through me is an expression of that. Sometimes I bring out my singing bowls, or chimes, always incense and good music. I am inspired by my connection to all that is, and my art is a refuge for that connection.
What would you do with $25,000?With $25,000, I would give my art the space, materials, and professional support it needs to grow. I would create a body of intuitive paintings, invest in quality supplies, photography, and and share the work through prints or small community offerings. This support would help me bring the mystical, healing energy I feel while painting into the world in a more visible and meaningful way.
