I love to create positive images that show strength in vulnerability & diversity
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
My favorite type of art to create is soulful photography that captures people with the proverbial mask off; authentic, vulnerable, and real. I love making images that reveal a person’s true strength through their vulnerability.
Where do you find inspiration?I find my inspiration in photographing people who may underestimate their beauty or have a difficult relationship with being photographed. I’m drawn to showing that an image is more than a moment; it’s a process of trust, vulnerability, and self-recognition.
What would you do with $25,000?What would I do with $25,000. Aside from buying a new camera & equipment. Probably pay rent. Perhaps take a class or two, especially on how to do video. Maybe do a project where I interview and photograph creative folks who after three days, bring me to another person that they think I should meet and I stay with them for three days and so on and so forth and see where I end up. Degrees of separation and all. That project intrigues me.
