I see beauty everywhere and try to capture it in photographs. Perspective, light and shadow, travel, abstract, ICM I love all of it and more
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
My primary mediums are photography and poetry. Sometimes the 2 even converge. I began making images with my dad in the days of film. I had to frame the photo with my hands & explain why it would be good before I was allowed shoot. Now, with my dslr camera or my iPhone, I still try to stop and think about the image I want to make (despite no need to conserve film). I am a firm believer in the philosophy that the best camera is the one you have with you. I’m just as likely to use one as the other.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration in nature, urban or rural landscapes and street scenes. In curves, lines, light, shadow, reflections, and refractions. In puddles, pavement, windows and walls. From the smallest flower, leaf, or insect to the largest buildings and mountains. In the foggy deserted parking lot to the crowded travel spots. I see inspiration almost everywhere.
What would you do with $25,000?I would supplement my almost decade old equipment.
