I create clay sculptures for people to look within. Look within the flower, look within themselves to see their vulnerabilities & feel safe.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
I love to create plant/ocean life from another planet that makes you ask yourself if it’s a real or made up. Yes, the reproductive organs of flowers are the most interesting to study and sculpting them in clay lets you experience them in 3-D. Creating small details hidden deep inside makes the viewer look deeper and become engaged with the sculpture.
Where do you find inspiration? The ocean is abundant with eyeless creatures that appear to be from another planet. I collect images of Plants and flowers from all over the Earth. They get combined to make a new life form. Sometimes my work is a combination of oceanic and plant/flower parts. Most times, my muse will wake me up around 4:30, with an image of what I need to make.
What would you do with $25,000?I would convert my current website into a nice one with a cart to buy from. Buy a set of propanels for my booth when I do Art shows. Pay off my 2022 van.
