My art is driven by emotion. I’ve painted through heartache, joy, desperation — and come through the other side feeling safe and connected.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
A lifelong mixed-media artist, I work in photography, acrylics, watercolor, wood, fabric, and clay, with a growing pull toward encaustics. For me, artistic creation isn’t limited to the studio — it’s a way of seeing the world.
Where do you find inspiration? My art begins in the emotional body — a broken heart is, for me, a creative sweet spot. But inspiration arrives from everywhere: gardens, architecture, mountains, the ocean, the smell of fresh air, a memory, the weight of social injustice. Life, it turns out, is endlessly generous with its raw material.
What would you do with $25,000?Build a studio. Buy a kiln. Go to Paris. Help a stranger…
