I create chainsaw-carved pieces that turn raw, lifeless wood into something that holds memory and meaning. My favorite work is anything that feels personal—wildlife, memorials, or custom carvings that carry someone’s story. I don’t just carve shapes; I try to give people something they can feel connected to long after the moment has passed.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration in the quiet details—nature, weathered wood, and the stories people carry with them. A lot of my work comes from emotion: memories people want to preserve, moments they don’t want to lose, and the character already hidden inside each log. I just try to bring it forward.
What would you do with $25,000?I would use it to grow the reach of my art and create more meaningful work for people who may never otherwise see it. Better equipment would let me take on larger, more emotional pieces and community installations. I’d also invest in live carving experiences so people can watch art being created in real time and connect with it in a deeper way.
