Stained glass is my favorite artistic medium, where patience and precision transform simple sheets into luminous stories. I’m drawn to every step, cutting, grinding, and carefully assembling each piece into a unified design. The real magic happens when sunlight pours through, igniting the colors and casting an almost angelic glow that makes the artwork feel alive.
Where do you find inspiration?I draw inspiration from nature, where every leaf, cloud, and ripple feels like a deliberate stroke on an endless canvas. Its colors shift with the light, its shapes evolve with time, and no two moments are ever the same. In its quiet complexity and effortless beauty, nature offers an infinite well of ideas, reminding me that art is not created, it is discovered.
What would you do with $25,000?In 2024, a California wildfire took my art studio, along with years of work and inspiration. With this prize, I would rebuild that space and fill it with vibrant sheets of colored glass, ready to create again. After a heart transplant in January 2026, easing medical costs would also bring peace of mind, allowing me to focus on healing and the art I love.
