It brings me peace after a stressful day at work. It clears my mind. It brings me great joy when someone buys my art to hang in their house.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
I really love to use Acrylic paints. Using either a pallet knife or Brush. Sometimes both. All depends on what size painting I am doing. When I have had a really hard day I created miniature art 2"x2" or 2"x3". These let me concentrate and lose myself in my subject to release stress. Larger paintings I can use different mediums that I can mix into my acrylics to give texture for a 3d look or make the paint look like oils without having to wait for them to dry. Bonus, No smell.
Where do you find inspiration?Everything around me is an inspiration. I see flashes of inner colors that is hard to describe. Animals are my favorite. Their souls speak to me. The sadness in their eyes. They want to be seen. Not as a possession but as a loved one. Their inner colors come out when they are loved. See before and after pictures of dogs from rescues. I paint happiness.
What would you do with $25,000?My goal is to open a gallery and art school for kids. They will have a month to paint whatever they want and at the end of the month we would have a Gallery Opening to show off their work.
